SSC CGL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIASSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2017: Applicants must satisfy the SSC CGL eligibility criteria before applying for SSC CGL exam. In case the candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, commission will reject the candidate’s application therefore knowing the eligibility criteria is very important for candidates. An SSC CGL eligibility criterion is different for the different posts.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2017: Details

The CGL eligibility criteria are the conditions which is set by the staff selection commission, candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions. SSC CGL eligibility criteria mention below:

Educational Qualifications

Candidates need to fulfil the following educational qualifications in order to be able to fill the SSC CGL application form:

Nationality

Candidate must be either:

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • Subject of Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settle down in India, or
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from, Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Zaire, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settle down in India.

Note: Candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be an individual in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
