RBI Assistant 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Proficiency in the official language of the concerned state & union territory.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum age is 20 years & maximum age is 28 years. The upper age limit relaxation will be provided to reserved categories candidates.

RBI Assistant 2016 Application Form

RBI has released the online application form for the post of assistant on its official website; candidates can apply online and pay application fee online as well. Candidates need to fill right and accurate information while applying.

Application Fee:

Candidate can pay application fee thru online mode only using net banking or any credit/debit cards. Application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 450 and application fee for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-S candidates is Rs. 50 and there is no application fee for RBI staff.

RBI Assistant 2016 Selection Procedure

Selection process includes 3 steps:

  • 1st Step: Preliminary Exam (Objective Type) (100 Marks)
  • 2nd Step: Main Exam (Objective Type) (200 Marks)
  • 3rd Step: Interview (35 Marks)

RBI Assistant 2016 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Preliminary Exam:

  • Preliminary exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
  • Question paper has 3 sections namely (1) Reasoning Ability, (2) Numerical Ability and (3) English Language.
  • There will be 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • Exam duration will be 1 hour.
  • There is negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer.
  • Question paper will be set in both Hindi and English.

Main Exam:

  • Main exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
  • Question paper has 5 sections namely (1) Reasoning, (2) English Language, (3) Quantitative Ability, (4) General Awareness, (5) Computer Knowledge.
  • There will be 200 questions for 200 marks.
  • Exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • There is negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer.
  • Question paper will be set in both Hindi and English.

Interview: Those candidates who qualify in main examination will be called for interview round. The total marks allotted for interview is 35 marks.

RBI Assistant 2016 Admit Card

RBI will issues admit card for written exam and interview. Candidates can download their admit card for online written exam from RBI official website. Candidates can download their admit card by filling (1) Registration Number, (2) Password/Date of Birth.

RBI Assistant 2016 Cut Off

Cut off means the minimum marks which is essential to be scored by the candidates to qualify the exam and to be considered for the further selection process. The cut off will be decided by RBI. Candidates have to qualify in each section of the written exam as well as overall.

RBI Assistant 2016 Result

The result of written exam and final result will be released by RBI on its official website. RBI will publish the list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview round. The marks of the candidates in the written exam and interview will be released after the declaration of the final result.
